While Melissa Gilbert is a licensed attorney in the State of Florida, she is not acting as your attorney in this coaching relationship. Participation in these services does not create an attorney-client relationship. Nothing discussed during coaching sessions or on this website constitutes legal advice, legal research, or legal representation. Client is strongly encouraged to retain independent legal counsel for any matters involving divorce, custody, or litigation.

Mandatory Reporting & Confidentiality

Client understands that because an attorney-client relationship does not exist, the Attorney-Client Privilege does not apply to communications. Under Florida Law (Chapter 39, Fla. Stat.), Melissa Gilbert is a mandatory reporter. Accountability and confidentiality are maintained except in the following circumstances:

Reasonable cause to suspect that a child, elderly person, or vulnerable adult is being abused, neglected, or abandoned.

Situations involving imminent risk of serious harm to self or others.

Compliance with a valid court order or law.

Coaching vs. Therapy

Relationship Clarity Coaching is a strategic and educational process, not a substitute for mental health counseling or therapy. Melissa Gilbert Coaching, LLC does not diagnose or treat mental health disorders. If at any time the Coach believes clinical services are more appropriate, a recommendation will be made to seek a licensed therapist or medical professional.

Conflict of Interest

Coach cannot provide coaching services to any individual currently involved in an active investigation or case where a professional conflict of interest exists with the Coach’s other professional obligations.
